It was a lovely exhibition and I do hope you were able to see it. Some of the pictures sold I have put in the Recently Sold gallery, and I hope to start a new gallery of Framed Pictures soon so that you can see the others.
We’re just in the last stages of finalising a number of pictures to be shown at the SOC’s Waterston House in Aberlady, Scotland 7th June to 30th July. (The gallery is open Weds to Sunday, 10am – 5pm)
It has been exciting trying to choose pictures to show the breadth of John’s work – almost impossible with the space constraints – but we have come up with seabirds from the Firth of Forth to the South Atlantic, raptors from Spain and South Africa and a number of more common birds ‘doing their own thing’ as closely observed by John.
Most of these pictures are NOT featured on the website, so I hope many of you will be able to get down to Aberlady to see them. We have framed pictures on the wall, a few mounted originals in a browser, and a number of John’s book “Lines from Nature” for sale. We are also hoping to show a number of John’s sketchbooks showing works in progress.
Even better, Chris Wallbank SWLA is exhibiting in the main gallery, so it will be well worth making the journey to Aberlady EH32 0PY
